Hi everybody,
First of all...great site. Good info, and this is why I am posting my nagging problem.
I have a Compaq presario, an old dinosaur by today's standards. The vlc player freezes up my CPU every time i am a little into the movie. Like I said, an old dinosaur like my Compaq may not be up to the latest apps, but still, buying a newer lappie will take some time.
In the meantime, with only 1.26 gig of ram, what tweaks can I do to the Vlc player that it will allow me to watch the whole movie, and nothing but the movie, in peace?

Hi I just joined yesterday. I have been receiving the guides by email and finding some useful information. I have a Toshiba Satellite. Not too new and not too old. I had a recent crash and went back with a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit instead of 32 and it works a lot better. I am looking forward to finding and trying new things through the forum as well as hopefully finding topics to problems that I have.
