 Post subject: Taskbar issue
New postPosted: Sun Sep 04, 2011 1:28 pm

Hi. Does anyone know how I can change the size of the taskbar and the size of my icons on the taskbar? I've tried desktop/properties/advanced/appearance and made some changes to the settings, but I can't figure out how (if) I can rest these to different settings, but I don't want to use a restore point for this. I just don't trust it.

Thanks

Hi mhl54: right click on the Orb (Start)>Properties and you can adjust the icon and taskbar sizes from there.

@ mjl54:-

In Windows 7 .........

Right-click an empty area on the taskbar. If Lock the taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked. Unlock it by clicking Lock the taskbar, which removes the check mark.

Point to the edge of the taskbar until the pointer changes into a double-headed arrow‍‍ , and then drag the border to make the taskbar the size you want. :)

Or right click start orb then left click "Properties", then in the Taskbar tab tick the "use small icons" box to make the taskbar smaller [just like a Vista taskbar!!], then click "apply" and then "ok" and you are done.

Or see here:- http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/17 ... esize.html

I went to the Start button, right-clicked, went to Properties, but I couldn't see anything that would change my task-bar or my icons. The task-bar tab allows me to auto-hide the task-bar, keep the task-bar on top of the Windows, group similar task-bar buttons, and show quick-launch, and seemingly nothing else. Maybe I'm not doing the right thing, or going to the right place. Could you break it down to little, easily digestible pieces so I can step through it. I'm not a newbee to computers, but this has me stumped, and I can't recall how I got there in the first place.

Hope it's not to much to ask. Thanks for your help.

From what Uvais has already shown you this is how to change the Taskbar settings.....

If you are looking for different modifications that you would like to make to the taskbar then could you specify?
