New postPosted: Fri Feb 01, 2013 7:54 am

I cannot get my IE9 in windows 7 64bit to work again . I downloaded IE10 and that screwed up EVERYTHING for Internet Explorer! IE 10 does NOT WORK AT ALL
I cannot re load IE9 as it is STILL in my registry and I cannot seem to totally uninstall it to allow a new download and new IE9 program since it says 'I already have a newer version installed ' !
sooo. I would like to know this:
How can I with perhaps 'command prompt'? get IE9 to run again?
Many thanks for a STEP BY STEP for this solution .

I wish to thank Rich and this forum for recommending the downloading and PURCHASING of the WinZipRegistery optimizer program. I do not normally purchase any programs as so many freeware programs are out there for most thing
This case was the exception.
I cannot thank you all enough for this recommended DOWNLOAD and PURCHASE. $29.95 was more than worth it and it had been reduced to 1/2 price as it is .
It was indeed 'impossible 'for me to correct the IE10 download mess and I an angry with MS for even allowing it to be downloaded. beta or NOT !
Look forward to furure in the forum !

I found that I could NOT remove IE10 successfully . I did NOT yet read this message and so I do not know if it would have worked for me. On the surface, I feel that it may not have as I had done just about all possible things to remove it
Finally, I downloaded a paid program $29.94 .. called "WinZip Registry Optmizer".
This did the trick instantly and I am glad that I downloaded it though I rarely pay for any programs for my pc .
This one is well worth the money ! I have used it a few more times and it does a Fab Job with each use.
Thanks much for the info. It may work .. I don't know . and it is too late for me .
