Rainbow Folders is a nice program that allows you to change the color of folders right from the context menu. This is a versatile program and can be used in so many ways. For example you might denote all of your work folders with a red color to visually differentiate them from other folders.
Rather than offer you a limited number of colors, it lets you use a hue to make an unlimited number of shades.

Works fine on Windows Vista & Windows 7 too!

Do you personally use this app? If so I would like to see some screen shots if possible of how you set yours up.

Here's a screen-grab. Once you have the app installed, depending on the folder you wish to colorize, right click and select Rainbow folders from it's context menu. The app interface opens up.

Just my thought on theis app... I was actually interested in this and thought it would make life a little easier, i installed it played with it, and then quickly uninstalled it.
The folders don't change consistently, when they do, often they are the wrong colour. Not only that, when the folders actually do change (into the wrong colour), the folder looks Win95esque, not very impressive at all. It says Vista is supported yet the icons are nothing similar in terms of resolution and quality... why didn't they just put a colour overlay on the icons....????

Yeah it seems a little temperamental and the icons don't look great :( With that said, still, thanks for the share :)
