 Post subject: USB stick problems

Hey.........

I've got an sony vaio 2.0 16GB USB memory stick, but.......

when i connect it first is shows 0.99GB total disk space and of course 0.99GB free

and i can't put any files on it

i formated it, ran checks but nothing

anybody, anything ???

@ shoby - Did you buy it off eBay by any chance? Click on the link and scroll down to bottom of the page. There are many Sony fakes of different sizes apparently.

My (admittedly) untrained eye says it's a fake. The USB 2.0 16GB is poorly printed -- not very Sony like.

Sony don't make "Vaio" drives (that's their laptop range.)

They make micro vault: http://www.sony.net/Products/Media/Microvault/

I wouldn't waste your time with this drive; you probably don't want to hear it, but this drive is junk.
