Sorry, it's taken me a long time to get this together, but here's my home network.
You still running that VAIO Mike? That's gotta be getting pretty old now. How's it holding up? Mine is almost 4 years old and doing well thus far. Just hoping the screen (most expensive component these days) holds out a couple more years!
Funny you ask! It was definitely still going strong, with a few quirks. The battery of course died long ago, so the laptop has been tethered to the wall like a patient on a dialysis machine. The touch pad quit working about 2 months ago, and it boots slower these days. I think the HDD may finally be giving out. However, it was still my primary machine until 2 days ago, and has been through 4 versions of Windows (shipped with XP, Vista, 7, and 8 DP) and run them all like a champ.
I bought a MacBook air on Friday. It's the best Windows machine I've ever owned. The touchpad and keyboard rock, the battery lasts all day, it has a great screen, and best of all the core i7 and SSD fly. Highly recommend. I still can't believe that they packed everything in a PC that thin!
