Post subject: Monitor is not giving display ...
New postPosted: Sat Mar 05, 2011 1:15 am

this is a kind of weird problem i m faceing since the last 2 days :( everything was fine ... nothing went wrong. i turned on my pc. but the monitor was not giving any dispaly. its LED button was flashing which indiacted that it got power ... but no display. i cud hear the windows log on sound but still no display. suddenly the windows desktop appears. i restarted my pc several times to check whether it was just an accident or no.
but each time the same thing happened. even during work if i switch off the monitor and again turn it on after some times the monitor takes a lot of time to display. i checked the screen resolution. the recommended resolution was 1360X768 for my 16 inch Samsung 632NW monitor. surprisingly the monitor was not detected and instead it was Generic non PnP monitor and the resolution was also changed. i updated reinstalled the monitor driver and reinstalled the graphic driver (i have the latest). but it still the same problem occurs except that i got the recommended resolution back and the monitor was detected. my graphic adapter is Intel (R) 82945G Express Chipset Family.

where is the problem??? :( :( :( please help me ...

thank you ...

Did you check the cable for any possible defects?
What OS are you running?

Have you ever heard of this awesome FREEWARE program: SlimDrivers? I use the free version, works fantastic.

http://www.driverupdate.net/download.php

Sometimes it's best to remove all the Intel ChipSet drivers and reinstall them.. It could be a conflict program communication.

Check your manufacture driver here:

http://www.samsung.com/ae/consumer/comp ... ab=support

Check and ensure that all Drivers are removed from your machine for that monitor... than install a new set.. Sometimes Windows conflicts with MS Drivers for your graphic cards and the manufacture drivers... It just sounds to me there's a miscommunication between drivers and windows which you are experiencing some lag respond time.

@ UVAIS - It looks like it was from 2007, so possibly 4yrs ago.. not sure when the owner bought the monitor though..

Try it..

Cheers
