Hello there! Been a while.

So! Got a challenge for you guys ;D

HP dv6904ca, Phoenix BIOS version F38. I updated to this version after previously being at version F30.

Upon reset, the screen is simply black blankness. Now, I know it wasn't the gpu because, well, the thing had been working fine and it wouldn't have overheated in a matter of three seconds, especially when the last temp I read on it was 38 Celsius.

In any case, I've already educated myself on the wonders of WINCRISIS and such; the problem is finding it and configuring it. So far, I haven't been able to find the utility itself (all I've managed to find is winphlash).

So my question to you: can you find this utility, and preferably a version that works on USB? I know there's such a thing, as it was mentioned in a guide on another website; I've searched for a whole day now and all the links I'm seeing are purple now; and I'm on the point of exploding.

Thanks in advance!

Alright! Got it all to work fantastically, just had to copy the files over manually to the usb stick, because wincrisis is a poop.

After holding Win + B for a time the laptop loaded it into ram and flashed before restarting and working flawlessly.

See ya~!
