Please note, Jailbreaking your device will invalidate the remaining warranty held with Apple Inc. for said device. Jailbreaking also carries a small risk of rendering the device unuseable. Whilst we will do our upmost to help if something does go wrong, please note that we assume no responsibility for any damage caused to any device through Jailbreaking.

JB 3.1.2
JB 3.1.3

Finally decided to upgrade my phone from 3.0 to 3.1.2. I've left my wife's at 3.0 for now.

Used your guide for the upgrade -- worked great.

Thanks.

Nice one Rich! It's a pretty fool-proof method of jailbreaking compared to previous methods. Check out Dinozambas on Youtube for some great Jailbroken iPhone vids. :)

Thanks. I used custom hacktivated FW; however, when I first booted up, I had no signal. I installed yellowsn0w and was back up and running :)

Because I don't have an AT&T sim to activate through iTunes.

You have to activate through iTunes?
I didn't think you needed custom firmware to accomplish that, anyways, you're on 3.1.2, Jailbroken & unlocked....nice! :D

Unfortunately, yes. When I went to 3.0 I had to call a friend to get their simcard :P After your warning of "If your SIM Card is not legit, (ie. unlocked) do not attempt this", I decided not to attempt it without hacktivated FW.
