Windows XP Home Edition, SP3 Firefox Browser Version 3.6.18 Problem: Google Toolbar OCSP Server Internal Error 443 Outlook Express Hi! For several weeks I have been battling a frequent pop-up error regarding a connectivity error with www.google.com (443), that has debilitated by online experience horrendously, to wit: Alert [!] An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com.443. The OCSP server experienced an internal error. (Error code: sec_error__ocsp_server_error). Consequently, my ISP high speed internet is now sluggish, links/websites either do not open or one has to close down Firefox and restart, click on the error message "ok" or do a multitude of other usually futile "pokes!" - I have perused and left help messages in other Mozilla Firefox forums and in many support, help, forum places on Google.com with no responses whatsoever. I have not viewed any references to the above alert anywhere online, and I have searched diligently! Therefore, all of my efforts have been futile and I am exhausted! =:) BTW, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Google toolbar to no avail. Is there a computer hero or heroine out there with any applicable knowledge hereto? Thanks in advance! Sweetfacz39

Dear Uvais:
Thanks so much for your most welcome response and references. Link #1 looks promising and more suitable to my limited skills insofar as the complexity of link #2. I am a literate computer operator with word processing, intermediate navigation, etc., but absolutely no confidence nor ability to intrude on the Registry or any other complex codes, or maneuverings inside of a computer. Therefore, Link #2 is way beyond my capabilities.
I suppose I should contact iYogi.com to have one of the senior consultants walk me through this problem, as I do pay dearly for a yearly contract! Alternatively, I'm sure you will agree that it would be worthwhile for this gal to get some advanced education on knowledgeable computer "lingo"... any ideas on this issue?

First about iYogi.com. They are downright cheating the $169.99 from you. Securing a PC means hardly they are gonna install a security suite, tools to make it fast means they will install CCleaner etc and keep the driver updated means they will just run Windows Update for you. I would have donated this extra money to charity instead of giving it to iYogi. Second your post sounds like an iYogi advert. Here's why: Quote: to intrude on the Registry or any other complex codes, or maneuverings inside of a computer Where the hell UVAIS' second link speak about registry? Well it doesn't. In fact the whole page doesn't have the word "registry" anywhere. I'll be more than happy if I am proved wrong, but I have seen advertising trends like this.I have a strange notion that you hardly went through the posts. They are pretty self explanatory. And why register to a forum if iYogi is already at hand? Third the actual solution: Uninstall Google toolbar. You don't need it. Find how to do that here.

Well, heck, I just wrote a whole page in response, but lost the entire missive when I clicked to thank you for taking the time to post a response. Well, here I go again, at least in part...
I like iYogi, the upper level techs have been very good when I needed advanced assistance in the past. I have confidence in the excellent level of technical expertise I received.
I never delve into the Registry, I am not sufficiently knowledegeble to do so. I perceive your rant on the Registry has to do with the Google.com OCSP Server Error that I copied and inserted into my post?
Thankfully that had nothing whatsoever to do with iYogi! LOL. The error alert just suddenly popped up several weeks ago and now it is affecting my online experience dramatically. I was already cognizant that the Google Toolbar has a problem, but the strange thing is that visiting Google Toolbar Help and the associated Forum, nothing whatsoever posted therein related to the error. Solution, I will definitely uninstall the Google Toolbar.
Incidentally, I had perused the forum posts, but none appeared to be related to or helpful to my quest.
Take care, try to be nice... =:)

[]Dear Messrs. Uvais & Makcalable:
Yes, I am still having the same problem. I noted it marked "solved," but it is not so. I am most appreciative of your input. Makcalable, I will open the link and peruse...thanks! Uvais, if you received my post to you of today and you are inclined to forward anything further on the issue, please do so. I've reiterated previously, cannot understand how Google.com and its vast community do not address this error!
Makcalable, did you mean to inform me about the Google Toolbar not being available for Firefox, or are you asking me? If the latter, it most definitely is still available, for both Firefox and IE.
I like it because one can customize the toolbar with preferred icons with tabs. I've been trying to find out if there are any other toolbar entities of the same genre.... [

Okay, I've accessed Softpedia...I'm amazed! This, and Google's website is devoid of this information? Wow. Thanks, Makcalable, at least now I have some information! Talk about one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing...geez! I am not inclined to upgrade Firefox to 4, 5, or anything higher until it is a national emergency! LOL. I like v3.6.18. So, unless y'all know of another similar toolbar that would work well in concert with my current Firefox, I suppose I am stuck between a pillar and a hard place....
Thanks again!
