New postPosted: Sat Jul 30, 2011 4:04 pm

Hello everyone!

Well I made this kind of program couple of years ago, but never published it because it was so crap. :D But now when I was just browsing through my old programs, I decided to build a new one from scratch :D.
The result: over three times less code, and required amount of system memory has been decreased to one third of the original. Also nicer interface and more options (still more to come).

This program doesn't have any main window, so it's based on hotkeys. It still makes a icon to notification area, and by right-clicking it you'll see these options:
Image

Hotkeys
- Take screenshot & save it directly (F12)
- Take screenshot & start editing (Home)
- Take screenshot normally (Print Screen)
- Open editor screen (Home)
- Leave editor screen (End)
- Show menu in editor and preview screen (Keep Ctrl pressed)

Abilities in editor
- Cropping
- Blurring
- Highlighting
- Restore
- Drawing (coming)
- Text ( Coming)

Options
- Show cursor in screenshot
- Show balloon tips (set this off once you have understood the program)

Please give me some feedback! :)

P.S. I'll make a new icon for this program, if anyone would like to help me and send suggestions for icon, please do it! :D And if you have any other new suggestions for editing/easier use please tell me!

Thanks for response. Any ideas for new hotkeys? I have to redo them because they are causing a memory leak in my program so the required memory raises and raises. But yea, if you have better ideas for hotkeys, please tell! :D

I tried it but it was quite buggy with the HotKeys. Have you looked at a program like SnagItto see which keys they use?
It also feels like there's too much "info" in the notifications. For example, after saving an image you get a notification saying something like:

Imaged successfully saved!
Imaged successfully saved to C:\image.png

Can you use icons in the notifications? If it is possible, maybe a green tick and the write location text?

Anyways, great job Batupata and thanks for sharing it with us. ;)

Thanks for tips :D Yeap my problem is always the hotkeys, but I'll look at it. Probably informing soon about a new version, maybe I'll review a few small applications (useful or not) in a one post.

Tell us why you think we need this option.
