Post subject: Windows 8.1 Recovery Issue
New postPosted: Sun Jan 18, 2015 11:27 pm

Recently, my computer has been lagging and crashing a lot so I decided to try to reset my copy of windows 8.1. However, I lost my windows recovery disc that came with my laptop. I tried making a recovery usb and the system said it was not valid. The recovery partition of my hard drive is not working. Is there any other way I can reset my windows?

or you can recover your HDD to when the recovery partitions were still active ... if you can do the following so that we can understand what happened :
1-get a hold on HBCD 15.2
2-go to bios and remove secure boot
3-in the uefi boot selection set DVD to boot 1st
4- once hiren starts there's something called mini windows XP enter it ... wait till you are in the mini win xp
5- open "my computer in mini windows xp" and see how many partitions you have *it would be better to have a screen shot*

after that maybe i can give u a solution on resetting your 8.1

PS : these steps are for original copies of 8.1 !
