Post subject: Red Alert: Beware Of Windows 8 Downloads!  Topic is solved
New postPosted: Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:42 am
For this post the author Obinna Osobalu has received thanks - 2: Stu, zapper067

There is an increase in so called "Windows 8 releases", available on free file hosters, P2P networks and through other means.

Q: So, what can we make of releases such as Windows 8 Ultimate and others that have appeared for download on the Internet?

A: Those releases often use highly modified versions of Windows 7. They often come with their own themes to distinguish the look and feel from Windows 7. They often do make use of additional modifications, like a modified boot screen, taskbar or start menu.

Details @ Windows8news.

I can't believe anyone would actually download anything claiming to be Windows 8.....

It also goes without saying; If you're downloading an OS from a P2P site, you're asking for trouble and deserve it too!

It's amazing that people need to work on their ethical behavior and what they are downloading from P2P, or Free Hosting sites. I guess it goes beyond ones comprehension because downloading illegal MS product are all affected, or filled with malware/trojan, and what not.

I just pay for an OEM version, which is pretty good for me. Good to be safe than sorry.

Well he/she who dare's to download this stuff "windows 7/8 from torrent sites only have themselves to blame when they mess up there machine or even get a letter through the door for a fine or worse.

and most likely signing up to a forum to get help thinking they done nothing wrong. seen it before.

people actually think its ok to do this, its quite shocking the way some folks minds work.

mean while while all this goes on it has destroyed good torrent sites where you could download good honest software, just another means of downloading it, but all this has really come to an end, thanks to the uploader's and people downloading the infested pirated illegal software.

all for the sake of a couple of hundred quid!

this is why Microsoft and the Governments and other organizations are getting tough not just on the pirates but on us too.

One word, "UNETHICAL."

If this is a chosen they desire, that's their problem, hopefully they will get caught and pay the ultimate price.

If they want to Hack and be Cheap, why not go with Linux? They are FREE...where's the common sense?

Cheers
