Too true. Maybe if they pushed out hardware (a la Apple) the price'd fall but i don't see that coming anytime soon.

LOL... It was easily strayed in a different direction besides the topic and purposes of this thread because, like me, I think Globally. This helps give enough credibility to see its noteworthy discussion based on Apple, Windows, Office, etc... prices.

I just think that the prices are overwhelming by MS, just like MS is overpricing the Nokie Lumia 800 at a whopping $899!! LOL!!!

It would be great to see the $29.99 upgrade. I'm just not a fan of upgrades, more so with Full Version.

Hi, jereeseks. Welcome to the forums and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Is there any confirmation as to what versions are being released yet (ie. Home Basic, Ultimate etc.)? Maybe there'll only be one version for all? Maybe more? Thoughts...

Hey Stu - Windows 8 Versions

Engadget reported this recently - the versions of Windows were buried in the registry. All 9 of them!

I think that normal going rate of 100-200GBP would be just right. With 100 going to the starter option and the highest price to the ultimate or whatever best option you could give. I am also seeing no problem giving 170 for the professional with the option of using the key to multiple hardware with the option of a 3 for 2.3 or something similar. Depends on what pricing scheme you are most used to anyway.

Will Windows 8 allow to to keep your desktop items, programs and others when upgrading to Windows 8? I have all my programs I like and have gotten comfy in Windows 7 and I am checking out Windows 8 on another partition that has nothing on it and obviously I need practice moving around in Windows 8. BTW I found the NX or as my bios calls it Non-executable and changed the setting to accommodate Windows 8. Oh and will I keep my jump-lists as well?
