My windows 7 is not genuine but is activated. Is it safe to enable windows update? I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and my windows is activated. Since i have installed Windows 7 i have never enabled Windows Updates as i am unsure that it may deactivate my windows or may hamper working of my non genuine windows. So i want to know if it will be safe to enable windows updates?

Not to jump at your throat... but when you said is not Genuine but activated. How would it actually harm your OS, especially when your saying something about deactivated? It sounds like you have a hacked version of windows because in my experience doing Criminal Investigation.. many people are not always aware of the consequences of turning on the updates when they are running hacked or illegal distribution of Windows OS because MS has a sneaky (NOT ALWAYS) file that checks for Genuine version of OS they are using.

Again, don't get me wrong because your questions are just similar to the millions of people using none Genuine version of OS....

Peace
