How to Alter Windows Experience Index Recently I installed Windows 7 in a netbook, which directly resulted in a low Windows Experience Index (WEP hereafter).
However here is a way to fake/change the WEP.Open Windows Explorer and navigate to
C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore
Open the File named
YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS.800 Formal.Assessment (Initial).WinSATNote tha
YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS.800 will corrospond to the date time etc when WEP was first run.
Open the File in WordPad and Serach For <WinSPR>, by simply using the WordPad search Function accessible by pressing Ctrl+F.
Change the Values to Say
<WinSPR>
<SystemScore>5.9</SystemScore>
<MemoryScore>5.9</MemoryScore>
<CpuScore>9.9</CpuScore>
<CPUSubAggScore>9.9</CPUSubAggScore>
<VideoEncodeScore>7.9</VideoEncodeScore>
<GraphicScore>7.9</GraphicScore>
<GamingScore>7.9</GamingScore>
<DiskScore>9.9</DiskScore>
</WinSPR>
Or whatever. Save and restart PC for the Changes to take effect.
