Is it my computer because it is not Windows7, or file needs some attention? Hi George. Right click this link. Save as a .pdf document. Just downloaded and opened it up myself, no issues here.

You know there are many things you can do to improve Windows Vista's performance and many of the tweaks do work too.
And yes vista was a bad OS and had many problems but most of them do have a work around.
I think what this thread should of contained was all the tweaks and fixes that does improve Vista instead of P***ing folk off who have Vista and is stuck with vista for a good reason, that small thing called 'Money'
When I was using Vista I did perform many tweaks to improve its performance, wasn't perfect bu any means but it ran a damn site better.
Vista isn't dead and buried just yet and there will be many people posting here on how to improve or fix issues concerning the OS, what they don't want to hear is folk saying things like........ "Go buy Windows 7 that will solve your problems"
I mean really, <sigh>

Yes, i have used Windows Vista and Windows 7 both and it is easy to say that windows 7 is far better than windows vista. I currently use Windwos 7 home premium and it is the thing i am satisfied.

What would be the best way to install Windows 7 on Vista Ultimate laptop?
For starters Vista was very fast, now seems to be sluggish.
Word program takes 20 seconds or more to go to second page, after that delay going to following pages is instant.
Also, since Windows 7 was issued, there are probably some updates or Packs, will computer know to get update, or I have to go to Windows Web to get it?

Run the advisor on my XP machine and shows that some things will run, some won't, have to get other updates from suppliers of other programs.
Have to backup some programs then re-install them.
In few words, quite disappointing, because my computer skills are limited and I don't feel confident enough to do that with my XP.
Before it was simple, I bought Windows 2000, loaded it and it worked as far as I remember I did not have to run around and reinstall existing programs.
Will have a look at my Vista laptop run-around.

First of all, I have to disagree with Makcalable post saying that Vista was a bad OS, is all moot. I remember Rich posted this respond regarding Vista performance, saying it was fine, it was fine when I ran Vista. I was happy with it's performances.
Secondly, tweaks are done on every OS, that includes all its predecessors, XP, VISTA, Win 7, Mac, and Linux.
Lastly, if not least, I was actually happy with Vista, so much better security protection than XP, hands down.
