Folder View
My default Folder View is: Name | Date taken | Tags |Size| Rating
How do I change the default view to: Name | Size | Type | Date modified

Press Alt /tools/Folder options/View/Apply to Folders/do you want all folders of this type to match this folder View setting? This will not change toolbars and folder panes. /Yes/ OK

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit
anyone any ideas?

Try setting up the C:\ folder as desired and then applying that setting to all folders. See if that holds...
