New postPosted: Tue Oct 26, 2010 1:57 pm

Hi

I am using Windows Vista Premium on Acer Aspire machine.
Over the last few days I keep on getting frequent Windows Explorer crashes.

Can anyone please let me know how I can fix it.

Thanks

have you tried the system restore if not try it
if it doesn't help try following:
open the comand prompt as an administrator and type:
sfc /scannow

if that doesn't help than try this:
rsvr85 wrote:
In an elevated command prompt, try;
chkdsk C: /f

Where C: is the drive you wish to check.

You'll get an error message about the drive being i use, go ahead and schedule for next reboot and reboot your system.

Check through the Event Viewer too, it should give you some valuable, relevant info as to what's causing the crashes.
