I am running MS Office Pro 2003 on Vista Home Prem. I am considering upgrading to Office 2010 pro. Do I just install office 2010 over the 2003 ver and will my backed up files and folders be reinstalled ok. My backups are stored on a separate drive by Norton 360.

Mike
I can't remember whether or not you can install 10 over another version of Office, so be prepared to uninstall the previous version of Office first.
As far as your backups, you are referring to your documents correct? If that's the case then they are not in harm's way. Uninstalling Office and installing a new version only wipes out your Office system files, not any documents you've created. Let us know if you need any more help. Welcome to the forums!

Many thanks Mike Office installed straight over 2003 - no problems all the files are intact and 2003 vanished without mention. Thanks again. Kelson

Thanks for letting us know Kelson I'm surprised there were no issues. 2010 is a big upgrade to 2003.
