Post subject: How can I change remembered Login ?
New postPosted: Thu Nov 28, 2013 4:01 pm

When I Log in to one site, incorrect User Name pops up in auto-fill box
(one that I typed in and accepted when Windows asked to remember it, but I typed it wrong)

Is there a way to get rid of it and put there correct one?
Have Windows XP SP3

Thanks in advance for any help

It must be too easy or too difficult.

If not here, where would be the best place to look for answer?

Hi,

what browser are you using, normally it will prompt you to save the new password you type in
like if there's the e-mail and and below it the password shown as stars or dots you just mark those stars, type in your new or in your case the right password and a message will pop up "do you want browser to save the new password"

that should be it

Thank you for answer.

I use Internet Explorer 8
I understand that I cannot use 9 or higher (if it is availabe) as Windows XP cannot handle it.

If I do what you say, I will have 2 login entries, this will not get rid of wrong one.

Hi,

try goin to

Tools > Internet Options > General (Tab) > Browsing History > Delete > Check the square that says "Passwords" or/and all the other squares you want > Delete

That should do it.

Hope it solves your problem.
