Post subject: Windows XP BSOD During Installation...
New postPosted: Tue Nov 20, 2012 6:43 pm

Hello everyone...
I am trying to set up a WinXP/Win7 dual-boot on my Windows 7 computer using EasyBCD. I have a WinXP X64 Professional ISO, and already have a partition to install it in, but when I load the ISO I run into problems. Right after the Windows installer loads, I get a BSOD with a STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFFFFFADF98A323C0, 0xFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x0000000000000000, 0X0000000000000000) error code.
I suspect that this is a driver error of some type, but I'm not really sure how I'd fix it. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

I'm loading it as an installation disk ISO through EasyBCD. It will actually load, but I get the BSOD right after the Windows XP installer loads. Any ideas?

Yes, that's correct. I'm trying to install it on a smaller partition. Also, I've been digging through a few other forums and have managed to find people with similar problems. It seems that you have to somehow patch a driver through NLITE in order to fix this problem, but I've tried that and still no success. Do you think the fact that I'm using a X64 version of XP is a problem?
