think you can do this in Windows movie maker but i can't tell about WMM b'cus i never use !!!

well i use camtesia studio 7 Note: its not free you can download this only as a trial of 30 days :ugeek:
okk now come to mane point

in cam studio

Click Start>all programs > Camtasia Studio 7 > Camtasia Studio 7 :)

File > Import Media (select your vidio/song) ;)

right click on songs icon >add to time line 8-) :geek:

play and select your cutting part via two green and red line(in time line) n click on cut button which something like (down side of library button ."Kainchi in hindi")
after
in last click on produce media (or somrthing like this-upper middle of screen)

choose your format

Done :ugeek:

Pleas hit thanks tab if you like

Windows Movie Maker can be used and it works well. I use Windows Movie Maker all the time to convert my videos from MPEG2 to WMV format.

After you've imported the song video, right-click on each clip and add them to the storyboard. Click the "timeline" button that's right above the storyboard. Start with the beginning clip. Left-click with your mouse (going from left to right) and drag the timeline over to the right as far as needed to remove the starting of the song video where the dialogues/scenes are that you don't want.
