hi everyone :D ,
whenever i turn off my pc rather shutting down it gets restarted.

one of my friend told me to uncheck the "automatically restart"(my computer->properties->advanced tab ->startup and recovery-> settings).

i did, now i see blue screen after turning off pc with the msg as "the windows logon screen was turned off unexpectedly(0X000000,0X000000)"and with some hexadecimal numbers...

Pls help me out..!!!

Do you have any System Restore points? If so, use one to before you changed the settings. Then we can have a look at the other issue.

Thanks for replying, no i have not created any restore point...now I'm realizing my mistake.
Is there any other way...???

Hi arkantos can you post some system specifications and what OS your are running? Can you at least get into safemode....? press F8 repeatedly at reboot until you come to a menu screen and scroll to safemode and hit enter.

hi,
oh yeah,i'm using window xp sp2,intel d101ggc motherboard,1.5gb ddr1 ram,500 gb harddisk.
ofcourse i can get into safe mode, what next..??

Go to msconfig and disable all start up devices and see if you boot normal.. if so then it most probably is a driver issue or hardware.

Thanks everyone...there was a virus i used NOD32 antivirus to eliminate that...now my comp working fine..:) :)
