On your computer, go to control panel and run Power Options. Click on advance tab. There will be a drop down box that will select the function of the power button. Do you see the standby option in the list? If the option is there, you must see the standby button.
Missing drivers can cause disabling the standby and hibernate options.
Method 1
You may follow these steps and check if the issue persists.
a) Click Start > Run, type ‘cmd’ in the open box.
b) Right click on ‘cmd.exe’ and select ‘Run as administrator’.
c) In the command prompt, type ‘powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies’ & click enter key.
d) Close the command prompt & check if the issue re-appears.
Method 2
You may also check in BIOS (Basic Input Output System) if Advanced Power Management is enabled there.
