How do I convert GOM Player media to something compatible with Facebook? Every video I upload from my laptop to Facebook is on GOM Media Player, which Facebook won't accept- is there any way to convert the media? I've tried "www.media-convert.com," which doesn't want to work with me (either I get a message about a non- responsive server, or never- ending circle of loading). How can i get my videos onto my Facebook?

Use zamzar.com to convert your videos. Then you can upload that to Facebook !

Format factory is one of the best converters i've tried. zamzar is all well and good but if you have a large file, it'll take a while as it'll need uploading, downloading and uploading again to Bookface.

These video formats are supported by FB:

Quote:
We support almost all video file types, but you'll have the best luck with the MP4 format. Here's the complete list:

3g2 (Mobile Video)
3gp (Mobile Video)
3gpp (Mobile Video)
asf (Windows Media Video)
avi (AVI Video)
dat (MPEG Video)
divx (DIVX Video)
dv (DV Video)
f4v (Flash Video)
flv (Flash Video)
m2ts (M2TS Video)
m4v (MPEG-4 Video)
mkv (Matroska Format)
mod (MOD Video)
mov (QuickTime Movie)
mp4 (MPEG-4 Video)
mpe (MPEG Video)
mpeg (MPEG Video)
mpeg4 (MPEG-4 Video)
mpg (MPEG Video)
mts (AVCHD Video)
nsv (Nullsoft Video)
ogm (Ogg Media Format)
ogv (Ogg Video Format)
qt (QuickTime Movie)
tod (TOD Video)
ts (MPEG Transport Stream)
vob (DVD Video)
wmv (Windows Media Video)

The aspect ratio of the video has to be between 9x16 and 16x9, and the video cannot exceed the file size or length that the upload page suggests.

Be careful though....Format Factory (which I use too) installs ask toolbar without your permission. Don't forget to uninstall it later !

Maybe. Was a little while ago i installed. It is a bit sketchy though...a while back it came bundled with Spyware so i stopped using it - a year or so later i tried it again and it was clean...maybe they changed their ways....again!?

Are these .tp files or some other format?

Handbrake is always an option. No spyware, no junkware. It can be used to rip optical media as well as convert common video formats like 3GS, MP4, FLV etc. into a variety of other formats including Facebook's preferred MP4.
