 Post subject: new hardware detected
New postPosted: Sun Aug 19, 2012 5:52 pm

I have an Epson Stylus D92 printer connected by a USB port to my 32 bit computer running XP home. It has an up to date driver and works normally. However, every time I switch the PC on I get the message "new hardware detected" and am warned that it may not work properly. I ignore the message and it continues to work. It is just a bit irritating. The problem started after I had to have a new power supply installed after a thunderstorm.

I tried running microsoft FIXIT.printer program which detected no problems. I have re-installed the driver, but this did not change things.

It is not vital, but any suggestions would be appreciated
