Post subject: Google's new Privacy Policy
New postPosted: Fri Feb 03, 2012 7:17 pm

I was shocked by Google's new Privacy Policy change.

What was everyone's thoughts on this new change that will take effect on March 1st 2012?

What made it even worst is that we have no way to "Opt-Out" of any privacies we may have.

TBH, i'm not really that bothered. They have all the info anyway. They're just putting it all in one pot
Why are you so shocked? What bothers you so?

There are ways to "opt-out". Not logging in, separate accounts for services, or just stop using Google!

I agree with you on the "opt-out" comment, just that using our data and all is not something to be awww about.

Facts, Google has said that there is no other ways to "opt-out" but to agree, that's violating our rights for opt-out, same thing it includes in emails, there is a law for that. Everyone should have a right to opt-out for things they don't want.

I concur.
If it really bothers you that much, all you can do is boycott Google and its services, there's your Opt-Out.

Exactly. I would like to opt-out of paying for a brand new BMW, but they'll tell me to not buy one...

I agree with that Mike. Easily said then done, Just don't buy it. But to use our personal data is going beyond the 4th Amendment.

I do like Google's products, like their email system, it works great, but I don't use Picasa, Documents anymore...

Bummer on the privacy issues... It's like Facebook, they can retain your information at will for several years after deleting your account. If you don't like it, don't use it... How about going back to the "Stone Age?" LOL

Wait, is Rich using our data as well? Haha..
