New postPosted: Fri Apr 09, 2010 7:33 pm

Hey,

I just had a thought and noticed when I want to reply to more then one post, there's no other way to click to active each or any of the multiple post I want to reply to, then hit reply, it automatically insert the post, while I make my replies to each of the post.

There's no function like that here, unless I am overlooking this function?

I know you can copy/paste and then Quote it....it seems like a hassle.

Thoughts?

I've not seen this functionality before. Do you have an example? I've thought this could be useful (if not a little complicated and rarely used) before too.

An example, as best I can describe is, You could add a, "+" and "-" to the right of the "quote" "Report post" and "Accept this Answer" Icons.

What the + and - do is, when you click on + for multiple post, then go to the bottom and click, "Add Replies" (In plural).

This way all the multiple post I decided to reply to will automatically be inserted in the reply area and add my comments to each one that is already in Quotes.

There's a website I used to go to long time ago, haven't been on there in a long time....it had this features and it worked great and made replying to multiple post painless.

Does this sums it up?

Cheers

Sevenforums have a multi-quote system. It is very handy, though i reckon the quote limitation here would have to possibly be lifted?

Yeah, something like that RSVR85, it's very, very handy....instead of complicatedly using the copy/paste....just click +, go to bottom, click, Add Replies. It helps make it more efficient.

What happens when it's like 3 pages, one each page? You have to go back, or copy/paste it on word, then do the replies to each...it's a hassle.

For this post the author Rich has received gratitude : Rick

In an effort to minimize clutter and confusion, here's my solution for your request:

You can quote multiple posts in the "Full Editor" (clicking reply and not using the Quick Editor.)

Just scroll down the page and click Quote on the posts you want to quote:

Yeah, if you try a post with >10 posts, you'll be able to quote from multiple pages.
