it seems that the copy-paste program of my windows has been bugged when i copy one file by clicking 'copy' from the context menu in the destination folder the 'paste' option is inactive!!! even if i do ctrl+c and then ctrl+v there is no help. now i found out that if i copy any link to clipboard and then want to paste it on facebook i can't do that either. what to do??? what could be the problem? i tried cleaning the clipboard but that went in vain ... please help immediately ... thank you very much.

When this problem Start ? And Which AV you are using ? Try this1 .Try System Restore Or Scan with Good Updated AV in safe mode ;; If using a system restore point fails to fix than go to no 2. 2. Run System File Checker tool (Open CMD As Admin and Run this command sfc /scannowsee more .INf @ Source linkOr 3. Press Winkey+R and type services.msc and hit enter Find These services: Network DDE DSDM. Network DDE. Clipbook. Right Click on Each And select Restart Reboot your PC. Or see in Registry ;;[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].look NoViewContextMenu and see that you can see REG_DWORD value.if it's available then Right click on it choose modify and set the value to 1. If it set to 0 then it is disable. Restart PC That's iT ;;

Bro I think your Pc is infected by a virus etc you need to Complete Pc Scan using Live AV Read my Post here viewtopic.php?f=28&t=6825Now back to topic Try to run sfc /scannow in Safe mode (Admin Account) [But if you scanned your Pc using above AV..than this will* disinfect your PC

Also culled from the technet thread Uvais linked to - Make sure any tweaking programs ie., TuneUp Utilities, Iobit, CCleaner etc., etc., have any clipboard clean option disabled. Just so you know, the regedit tweak Uvais has suggested disables and enables the context (right click) menus. 1 is to allow right clicking, 0 is to disable right clicking. @Uvais, please cite sources if you pull info from other forums. http://forums.techarena.in/windows-soft ... ost5173860

thank u all did almost everything. nothing actually helped. those AVs actually identified no serious threat! my pc looked clean. though copy paste sometimes works on notepad it seems now i have no option left accept re-installing windows. but one thing surprises me! how could my system get infected by a virus??? :O i had so much trust in MSI ...
